Why We Do A Food Drive?
Food for a Food Drive Stays Local
In an average month, 92,000 children eat meals from emergency food boxes.
Since the beginning of the Great Recession in 2008, food box distribution has increased 41%.
Children who are hungry have more difficulty learning in school.
Starting November 28 through December 9th Briggs will be holding our annual Helping Our Neighbors Food Drive! Please bring non-perishable food or money to your first Core class (6th and 7th grade 1st period, 8th grade 3rd period) to help our own Briggs families and compete with other classes. In recent years Briggs has been able to provide thirty + families with food for winter Vacation.
Keep the tradition going by giving!
