Dear Briggs families,

We welcome you to join us for Briggs PTO’s first monthly meeting of the 2017/18 school year. Please feel free to review the below agenda if you plan to attend.
Our first event of the year is Back to School Night / Open House. We will be grilling out and serving hot dogs, chips, watermelon and lemonade to attending families. To make the event a success, we’ll need 10-12 volunteers to assist with grilling, serving food, set up and clean up. If you’re interested in helping, please reach out with your preference and we’ll email additional details prior to the event.
We appreciate your commitment to the students and staff of Briggs and look forward to a fun and productive year.

  4. EVENT: Back to School Night – September 21, 2017 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
    1. 10-12 volunteers needed (arrival time: )
      1. 2 – grilling hot dogs
      2. 6 – serving food (2 lines, 3 servers in each line)
      3. 2 – floaters
      4. Set-up & breakdown crews
    2. Kingsford provides the grill, we have briquets
    3. 16” tongs & grill gloves have been purchased
    4. Day of Event CostCo & WinCo purchasing:
      1. 12 Veggie Dogs, 10 packs of 36 Hot Dogs, 15 packs of 24 Hot Dog Buns
      2. 400 bags of chips
      3. 6-8 large watermelons
      4. 3 34-qt Containers of Country Time Lemonade Mix (address drink dispensers)
      5. Condiments, boats, napkins, cups (check paper goods stock in PTO closet)
  5. VOLUNTEER REQUESTS
    1. Student Resource Room Volunteer
      1. Twice monthly, organize room
      2. Facilitate additional donations
        1. a)  Washer & dryer
        2. b)  Household & hygiene goods
    2. Student Socials
      1. Held on early release days at the end of terms
      2. 6-12 volunteers to help with stations (movies, dancing, etc)
