We would like to inform you of our Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Reward Celebration
happening in June at the end of the school year at Honeyman Lake for 8th grade and The
Bob Keefer Center (Willamalane) for 6/7th grades. Beginning today, all Briggs Middle
School students will be eligible for the field trips scheduled for June 12th and June 14th
The PBS Team and Briggs staff have been working this year to teach and model for our
students responsible, respectful, safe, and kind behavior. Most students have been
doing a great job and we would like to reward students with these special events.
Students who do not receive a Major referral from Monday April 8, 2019 through
Tuesday June 11, 2019 will be eligible for the field trip. Those students unable to follow
these guidelines will be ineligible and will remain in study hall to complete schoolwork.
Administration does have flexibility to allow a student to attend if behavior has improved
after the infraction has occurred.
The PBS team and the staff of Briggs Middle School ask that you review with your child
the expectations for behavior at school. Please refer to the Briggs Student Handbook for a
list of expectations. Please know that, as part of our PBS program, we have weekly
drawings with small rewards to encourage and recognize Briggs students for positive
