Spring Break Adventures with Nearby Nature

Looking for something fun for your child during spring break? Sign them up for a Spring Break Adventure camp with Nearby Nature! From mask making to fort building to learning to predict the weather, Nearby Nature has something fun for everyone during the three spring break adventure camps. The cost is $45 members/$50 non-members. Scholarships are available. The programs are for children ages 6-9, max 12 kids and is outdoors in Alton Baker Park and at our Yurt. 3/26/2018: Color Craze!: 830am-3pm: Spots and stripes and masks, oh my! How do colors and markings help animals survive in the wild? Answer these questions and more as we play camouflage games, explore nature nearby, and create our own colorful critters to take home.
3/27/2018: Forts in the Forest: 830am-3pm: How do animals build their homes? Try your hand at making a deer bed, a bird nest, and your own fort from the forest. Discover how to navigate in the woods with a compass and clues on this forest adventure.

3/28/2018: Rain Rangers: 830am-3pm: Water and weather wanders every which way! Discover how the water falling on your head got so high in the sky and learn where the river’s running. Play water games, tell water tales, and learn how to predict the weather.
