The Power of Positive

In the course of our distance learning support series, we have talked about how words can have a big impact on our mindset. Because it is so very important, we want to focus more on the idea of positive self-talk.

We all talk to ourselves – sometimes it’s out loud, and sometimes it’s in our head. Either way, it makes a difference in how we feel, right? When children learn to use positive words rather than putting themselves down, they may be more likely to keep trying even when things don’t work out the way they planned or hoped. Positive self-talk can help students build self-esteem and confidence, encouraging them to look at the bright side, to keep trying and to overcome challenges.
