Calling all Juniors: Spring is the perfect time to start thinking about touring college campuses. We are in the process of looking at dates for a couple of campus visits. But for now here are some other options to consider:

The United States Youth Conservation Corps is now accepting applications for the McKenzie River and Middle Fork Ranger Districts to work this summer, June – mid August. If you are someone looking to explore Forest Service, this is for you. Students will have the opportunity to work, learn and have fun in the great outdoors. Projects will include working on the Indian Ridge Lookout restoration, fire & forest management, helping control invasive species, improving wildlife management, constructing fish habitat as well as trail construction and maintenance.
This is a paid position and will run from June to mid-August. Transportation is available through LTD to and from McKenzie River District. Application deadline is February 15 for Middle Fork River District and February 22 for McKenzie River District. If you are unable to make an appointment it is your responsibility to let Jessica know prior to your appointment time. If you miss more than two appointments you will be dropped from the program, and have to speak to Jessica for reenrollment.
Don’t miss out on the Experience Oregon Manufacturing tours on Friday, October 5 from 9am – 1pm. Students, ages 16 and above with an interest in manufacturing, are invited to join us on one of five tours happening that day. Students one of five tours ranging from food production to wood products manufacturing. The tours will conclude at 1 PM and lunch will be provided.

Students are invited to the 2018 Mid-Willamette College Fair. There will be 70 colleges and universities represented at this event to meet & share information with students. Pre-registration and permission slips are required to secure your spot.
