Gateways High School is happy to announce our students of the month for February. Every month GHS teachers nominate students whose accomplishments deserve public recognition. Three different organizations have honored our students this month: Register Guard, Springfield Times, and The Elks Club.
Our February Nominees are: Brendan Silvius, Austin Jones, Cody Johnston
Brendan was nominated by the Gateways High School Staff. She is being honored by the Register Guard. The staff had this to share about Brendan:
Brenden Silvius has been a tremendous addition to the Gateways family. He is positive, outgoing, and inquisitive. Brenden works hard to complete his assignments, but it’s obvious that he wants to learn as much as he wants to get a good grade. He has developed friendships here that foster successes in and out of the classroom for himself and for others.
Austin was nominated by the Gateways High School Staff. She is being honored by the Springfield Times. The staff had this to share about Austin:
Austin is a dedicated student that demonstrates excellence every day. Austin has a quiet demeanor that gracefully acquiesces to the attention demanded by his extroverted contemporaries. However, the work he submits reveals a mind that is active and focused on the task at hand; attentive to detail and accurate.
Cody was nominated by the Gateways High Night School Staff. She is being honored by the ELKS Club The staff had this to share about Cody:
Cody Johnston is studying for his GED in Night School. He is a dedicated and studious student who comes to school ready and willing to learn. He is focused and mature especially for his age. He is quite comfortable with his peers as well as adults. He is a great guy with a personality that will help him to be successul. We see him as a super manager of people!
