Hamlin Middle School will be holding its Summer Institute/STEAM Camp.
Bridge of the Gods Summer Academy (BOGSA)
free summer program for Native American high school students. BOGSA is a free two-week residential summer academy with classes at UO and LCC. It gives students a chance to increase cultural awareness and increase academic success in a college environment. Space is limited.
Chifin Native Youth Center is offering a summer culture camp in August. Call 541-726-4301 for more information.
Learning Littles Field Trips
The Learning Littles/Pequeñines Encantados
playgroup does not meet in the summer, but they do have field trips scheduled on Fridays. No pre-registration is required – just show up at the appointed time and place.
At the Springfield Public Library
Kick-off for children 12 and under is on June 27 at 1 p.m. at the Fountain Plaza. There’s a lot going on for all ages this summer. More information and full summer calendar here

STEM Festival at the Lane County Fair
If you’re going to the fair, don’t miss the STEM Festival
in the Auditorium on Saturday, July 22, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m
. Enjoy displays from Lane County participants of all ages, get hands on in the play areas and get your little ones fired up about all things science and technology.
UO SAIL Camps
UO’s Summer Academy to Inspire Learning (SAIL) Camps are free to incoming 9th-12th grade students. Priority is given to students who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch. The program is run by volunteer UO faculty, with different opportunities available at each grade level. Camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday on the UO campus. Bus passes and lunch are also provided free of charge. Students in the program are also eligible for mentoring by college students on goal-setting, college prep and tutoring. All camps include: talks on college admissions and financial aid, museum and campus tours, campus lunches, and time to meet and talk with college students and professors. Visit sail.uoregon.edu/camps/apply/ for applications for new or returning students.
Safety Town at Mt. Vernon
Starting on June 27 and running through August 26, kids ages 2-18 can get free lunch at sites throughout the city, provided by FOOD for Lane County and the USDA’s Summer Food Program

Willamalane’s Summer Playground Program
Willamalane offers a free, drop-in Summer Playground Program
for kids entering grades 1–5 each summer. The sites coincide with many of the free FOOD for Lane County lunch sites.
Springfield Summer Reading Program
Kids can sign up for the Springfield Public Library
‘s Summer Reading Program anytime and get a free book. Kick-off is on June 16 at 1 p.m. at the Fountain Plaza. There’s a lot going on for all ages this summer.
