  • What: Teen Entrepreneur Workshop
  • Where: Springfield Public Library
  • When: The month of March Thursdays at 4:30
  • Who: Any student interested in starting their own business
    . The program kicks off in March with four weekly workshops taught by local business leaders. Students who participate in the program will have the opportunity to learn how to start their own business, handle finances, and create and market a product. Students who wish, may also sell their products in the Friends of the Library book sale area inside the library. The library will also offer small startup grants for the initial needed materials. We will be able to accept up to 15 students into the program, so pre-registration is recommended.   • Elevate Lane County Job FairScreen Shot 2018-02-16 at 10.39.53 AMOn Thursday April 12th Elevate Lane County will be hosting their first Job Fair for Graduating Seniors. This event will take place at the Bob Keefer Center from 9:am to 3:pm at 250 South 32nd Street.The fair is intended for seniors who are actively seeking work and companies who are hiring. We anticipate that the students in attendance will represent all 16 districts from across Lane County. Students will be appropriately prepared by their teachers and counselors and will be bringing resumes. All registered vendors will receive booth space and a room will be available for interviews to take place.
