Native American Youth and Family Center

Did you know there is a brand new Native American Youth and Family Center in Springfield that serves over 220 Native students from over 50 tribes?

Is your child or grandchild Native American? Are you interested in participating in craft nights, family potlucks, drum groups, or tutoring? Please call (541-726-4301) or stop by the Springfield Native Youth and Family Center to learn more about joining our program!!! The center is centrally located within Two Rivers/Dos Ríos Elementary.

The Springfield Title VII program (also called Indian Education) serves American Indian and Alaska Native students in the school district. Eligible students include tribal members or descendants (you do not have to be enrolled in a tribe to participate).

To participate in the program, please ask for a 506 Indian Education form from your school’s secretary, or come fill one out at the center. The center is centrally located within Two Rivers/Dos Ríos Elementary School (1084 G Street). Please call Dawn Malliett, the Title VII Coordinator at (541) 726-4301, or email dawn.malliett@springfield.k12.or.us for more details.
