Walterville Student eBooks

I have collaborated with some of our teachers to help students create ebooks on iPads.  Below you can find out what some of the classrooms are doing and check out student work.

Mrs. Patterson’s first and second graders created animal ebooks based on research they did on animals!  If you have an iPad or and iPhone, follow the steps at the bottom of the page and download the “epub” file and open in iBooks.  If you do not have an iPad or an iPhone, download the “pdf” file.  You can also view the “epub” file on a computer if you have an ereader app.

 

Mrs. Stock’s students have recorded their lastest writing assignment and created art work to go with it.  Follow the steps below to view their work.

Mrs. Weber’s class spent several weeks writing autobiographies.  Read their amazing stories by following the directions below.  

To find a child’s specific work follow these steps:

iPad/iPod/iPhone instructions:

  1. Click on the “ebooks” link below.
  2. Select your child’s teacher.
  3. Locate your child’s book; you will see two versions of it.  Download the file that ends with “.EPUB”
  4. Open in iBooks (for iBooks download click here)

Internet Browser/Adroid Devices Instructions:

  1. Click on the “ebooks” link below.
  2. Select your child’s teacher.
  3. Locate your child’s book; you will see two versions of it.  Download the file that ends with “.PDF”

eReaders on Your Computer:  Follow either of the instructions above and open in your favorite ereader (Chrome: Readium)  or pdf reader.

You can also access these ebooks by scanning the QR code below with your mobile device.

NOTE:  When reading the “.PDF” version of a book, there is no sound available.
