Ereader Parent/Student Contract

This is the contract we send home with students. They cannot utilize iPads until this is returned signed by both parents and the student.

Library Parent eReader Contract

I agree to make sure my child returns the ereader device to school every day.

I agree to make sure my my child uses the ereader to read for 20 minutes each evening.

I understand that participation in the ereader program is contingent on

  • regular school attendance;

  • responsible care of the ereader device; and

  • responsible and appropriate use of the ereader device.

Although this device is specifically designated for ebook use, it is internet capable and therefore you need to monitor your child’s responsible and appropriate use (for reading ebooks).

I understand that this device is for my child’s use and will help to ensure no other family members use this device.

I assume responsibility of helping my child take care of this device while not on school grounds.

Library Student eReader Contract

I agree I will use the iPad only for reading purposes (unless at school and your teacher has given your permission to utilize other tools on the iPad).

I agree to bring the iPad to school daily.

I will store the device in a safe place away from potentially damaging situations.

I understand the iPad is a tool to assist me with reading.  I will be respectful and use it appropriately (I won’t show it off).

I will read every night for at least 20 minutes and log my reading each night.

I understand that participation in the ereader program depends on

  • regular school attendance;

  • responsible care of the ereader device; and

  • responsible use of the ereader device.
